To celebrate the forthcoming release of Issue 1.5, dirty Magazine hosted a first reveal event and after party on October 20. Held at the Chatterjee & Lal art gallery in Colaba, collaborators and readers were invited to experience a piquant glimpse at the contents of the issue, presented without any context.

A blown-up, special version of the issue was displayed atop an exquisite Jaipur Rugs carpet, underneath a spotlight. This edition consisted of photography and art printed in black and white and the names of all contributors, while the actual cover and texts were left unrevealed. Allowing guests to sit around together and flip through, the launch was an energetic, communal immersion.

The gallery had been transformed into a multi-sensory space, with strobe lights and death metal playing at staccato bursts, the disorientation only heightening the anticipation. A cheese table by RRO India was artfully arranged and perfectly complemented by wine from Sula Vineyards.

After the reveal event, guests headed to the afterparty at Plural restaurant in Kala Ghoda, where they danced to 2Sensitive, the DJ duo comprising Spacejams and Abhi Meer, and sipped on gin and tonic from DOJA and Swami.
